Regardless of how you live your day to day, you need to know that safety is a myth. Not physical safety because that can be a very real thing but being safe in you heart is most definitely not real. Our heats can be bulletproof or they can be like quicksand. While its best to wear you heart on you sleeve you also need to know when to protect it. This does not mean that you are choosing to be safe in whom you like/love/marry, you must always show you heart. However, don’t let those touch it if they do not earn it. The heart is a sacred temple. It really is indestructible. We take so much crap in our daily lives that are meant to shatter us but the heart is resilient. No moment last forever; no love, no heart, no “safety” lasts. Nothing does except memories. We must push forward toward turning into our memories as we make them. After All, you can never be old and wise if you weren’t once young and crazy!

This morning, on my walk home from working the audit shift, it was raining. The rain has been different here in Portland, lately. The rain is not accompanied by wind, so the rain just falls out of the sky and plops/drops on the ground making an effortless splash. In my head, this is ridiculous, and this ridiculousness makes me smile. I smile in the pouring down rain, having to walk almost a mile home, after being awake for almost 24 hours. The ridiculous always makes me smile, without fail. I smile when it unexpectedly rains on my walk home, and I smile when I see a beautiful sunrise, and mostly I smile when I am given the opportunities to experience every new, no matter how ridiculous, thing. I will never say no to something that could potentially become an amazing story. I smile when it rains on me and ruins my hair that I spend just so much time on. I smile when I think about how beautiful my eyes are. I smile when I see him, each time, for the first time again. After all, I tend to err on the ridiculous side, as we all know. If you find things to smile about, no matter where you are is a good place to be. Beauty is everywhere, in every place and every person, in every moment and action. Life is a fairy tale meant to be spent with strangers. :]
